Circa 5.500 persone hanno assistito all'evento straordinario e hanno premiato il leggendario tenore al suo ingresso in scena con una lunga ed intensa ovazione. Prima del concerto, Josep Carreras si era detto molto felice di inaugurare l'edizione del D-Marin Festival di quest'anno, e per l'occasione aveva pianificato un programma che potesse essere adeguato.
Il tenore ha offerto infatti quanto di meglio preveda il suo straordinario repertorio: nello specifico vengono citate L'Ultima Canzone, Lejana Tierra Mía, The Impossible Dream e Core 'ngrato. Aggiungerei anche Chitarra Romana, sicuramente come primo encores, come mostra il video inequivocabilmente. Sono state due ore indimenticabile per tutti gli amanti di musica classica presenti a questa prestigiosa apertura del D-Marin Festival, per la quale al tenore è stata assegnata una placca, essendone stato grande protagonista.
