"Il Video della Settimana": Josep Carreras canta "Julia"

Benvenuti per un nuovo Video della Settimana.

Anche per il video di oggi ci sono state non poche indecisioni, anzi... per essere più precisi c'erano tante idee e molto confuse. Ma per quanto tutte le canzoni fossero belle, poche avrebbero un motivo per essere proposte in quest'occasione. O basterebbe la giustificazione di "perché sono belle"?

Il Video di oggi ha senso nell'ottica dethella ricorrenza di domani, in cui si festeggiano tutti i papà. Il giorno di San Giuseppe, infatti, è inevitabilmente accompagnato dalla dicitura di "Festa del Papà". Proprio per questo mi è venuta in mente proprio "Julia". Questa canzone, parte della tracklist dell'abum "Mi otro perfil" rilasciato nel 1984, risulta sia dedicata proprio alla figlia del tenore, Júlia. Il brano presenta un testo in castigliano, ma il fatto che Josep Carreras pronunci anche solo il nome Julia come prescrive la lingua catalana (Júlia), risulta un dettaglio inequivocabile. 

Il testo parla di una bimba che si affaccia alla vita, accenna alla tenera inesperienza e alla curiosità che caratterizza i bambini. Ora sono passati molti anni, e il testo sicuramente dovrebbe essere riadattato in questo caso specifico. Tuttavia l'amore di un padre rimane invariato. Gli auguri li rimandiamo a domani. Even today, my choice has been extremely difficult: lots of confused ideas. Each song I had in mind was beautiful, but very few of them could make sense for being published today. Or is the fact of being beautiful enough?

Today's video makes sense for tomorrow, Saint Joseph's day, the Father International day. This brought in my mind a particular song, "Julia". It is part of the album "Mi otro perfil", released in 1984, and it should be dedicated to the daughter of the tenor, Júlia. The lyrics are in spanish, but the fact that Josep pronunciates the title in catalan, only this name, make us even more convinced of that. It is about a little girl facing the world, with  no experience, but with a lot of curiosity typical of children. Many years have gone now, and the lyrics should be changed a little bit in this specific case, but what matters is the love of a fathers, and this can't change. Enjoy it!!
