José Carreras - International Opera Singing Masterclass (Pesaro, 21-26 January 2019)

The application for the 4th edition of the José Carreras - International Opera Singing Masterclass is now available on the G. Rossini Conservatory's website. It will take place in Pesaro at the Auditorium Pedrotti of the Conservatory, from 21 to 26 January 2016.

Registration must be received by the Intercontact Organizing Secretariat within the 10th of December 2018. 

Applicants are requested to specify their vocal register and indicate the pieces to be perfected during the Masterclass. 

Admission to the Masterclass is determined by an artistic commission composed by Josep Carreras, Lorenzo Bavaj and Ludovico Bramanti – Director of the Rossini Conservatory – on the base of a 5 minutes video which the aspiring student will have to submit as follows. 

The video must contain one or more arias, or parts of them, taken from the operatic repertoire. The judgment of the art commission is unquestionable. 

The videos need to be sent to the contacts reported by 10th of December 2018.

By December 15, 2018, students admitted to the Masterclass will be notified by e-mail to the address they provide on the registration form. 

All students not admitted will be able to attend the Masterclass as auditors. 

The timetable of the Masterclass, except for changes related to organizational needs, will be as follows: from Monday 21st to Saturday 26th of January, from 11am to 1:30pm, and from 4pm to 7pm. 

The Rossini Conservatory will make the collaborating pianists available to the actual students of the Masterclass. 

On Saturday 26th of January at 6pm, at the end of the Masterclass, a final concert will be held at the Pedrotti Auditorium, with the participation of the best students. Artistic directors, superintendents and operatic agents will be attending the concert. 

The actual students taking part in the Masterclass will receive the attestation of the activity carried out.
