“Jose Carreras Grand Prix” 2020 - International vocal competition of the Elena Obraztsova Foundation POSTPONED TO 2021, 20-26 April

The Charitable Foundation for the Support of Musical Art “Elena Obraztsova Foundation” together with the Moscow musical theater "Helikon-Opera" (under the direction of Dmitry Bertman) organize the “Jose Carreras Grand Prix 2020”, the International vocal competition of the Elena Obraztsova Foundation. 

Josep Carreras is President of the Competition and Chairman of the Jury.

On this edition, the competition is held separately in the disciplines according to the type of voice: soprano, mezzo-soprano, tenor, baritone, bass.

Russian and foreign performers are allowed to participate in the Competition at the age of:

- from 18 to 32 years old for soprano, mezzo-soprano, tenor
- from 18 to 34 years old for baritone and bass

inclusive on the opening day of the Competition on September 14, 2020.

April 27-28 - competitive auditions in Krasnoyarsk
May 14-15 - competitive auditions in Vienna
June 26-29 - competitive auditions in Moscow

II and III rounds
Russia, Moscow, Nov 30 - Dec 6, 2020

Due to current epidemiological situation, the International Vocal Competition of The Elena Obraztsova Foundation «José Carreras Grand Prix» will be held from April 20 to 26, 2021.
