Video excerpt of Josep Carreras' concert with Celine Byrne in Riga: a result beyond expectations
Esattamente una settimana fa, il 20 febbraio, Josep Carreras ha ripreso el suo Tour "A Life in Music" con il suo concerto presso l'Arena di Riga, insieme al soprano Celine Byrne e al Maestro David Giménez.
L'unico articolo reperito riporta di un successo oltre le aspettative. Per tutta la durata del concerto, cui si sono aggiunti oltre quaranta minuti di bis, scorrevano alcune delle immagini più rappresentative della carriera del leggendario tenore che sta festeggiando una vita nella musica per la musica e che desidera dedicare gli ultimi anni di attività a tornare ad esibirsi in tutti i luoghi che hanno ospitato le suo performance in questi 46 anni.

A week ago, on 20 February, Josep Carreras resumed his tour "A Life in Music" with his concert at the Arena in Riga, along with soprano Celine Byrne and Maestro David Giménez. The only press article I could find reports of a success beyond expectations. For the whole duration of the concert, which counted on a 40 minute extra for the encores, ran some of the most representative pictures of the legendary tenor's, who is celebrating a life in and for music, and would like to spend the last few years of activity to perform back to all the places he has been singing in 46 years.
Above you will find some video excerpts of the concert. The quality is not superb, also due to the distance from the stage, but still offers the opportunity to experience the atmosphere of what was a real celebration in Riga. So, thanks to Melita Svedrevia for the many videos.
