JOSEP CARRERAS IN PFORZHEIM: PERFORMANCE FOR THE "250 JAHRE GOLDSTADT" OPENING GALA
On 12 May, Josep Carreras specially performed on occasion of the "250 Jahre Goldstadt" Opening Gala at the Congress Center in Pforzheim, Germany by offering a 45-minute recital with soprano Gladys Rossi and his pianist Lorenzo Bavaj.

Carreras said he was very happy to be back in such a special occasion and stressed the warmth of the audience. After the performance he joined the celebration and was given a picture by photographer Udo Spreitzenbarth for his Leukaemia Foundation.
Showing himself in a very good shape, he opened his recital with L'ultima Canzone and Lu Cardillo, to continue with Serenata Sincera, T'Estimo and Passione. On her turn, Gladys Rossi sang Les Filles de Cadix, Summertime and joined him in Non ti scordar di me (duet). Carreras closed the official program with a stunning version of Passione.
After that, four encores were offered: Rossi started with I could have danced all night and then the legendary tenor left the audience sprachlos after his overwhelming Core 'ngrato. The last duet was Musica Proibita.
