On 6 June, Josep Carreras arrived in Asunción, Paraguay, where he was honored with the medal of "El Cabildo" Cultural Center of the Republic to Innovation, Creativity and Scientific Research.

On the day ofter, Josep Carreras once again celebrated A Life in Music at the Centro de Convenciones de la Conmebol in Asunción together with soprano Jaquelina Livieri and the Orquesta Sinfónica del Congreso de la Nación (OSIC) under David Giménez's baton.


On occasion of his first visit, Josep Carreras seduced Paraguay as you can infer from the head of the article which reports:

The concert program included songs and arias like Pecché, Passione, Oh Mio Babbino Caro, Je te veux, Vurria, and Il bacio, but also Lejana tierra mía, El dúo de la africana "Dúo y Jota" and encores like Vierno, Chitarra Romana, I Could Have Danced All Night, Solamente una vez and finale Amigos para siempre.

After such resounding success, Josep Carreras arrived in Santiago, Chile, yesterday to join the press conference for his concert with Jaquelina Livieri at the Movistar Arena on Sunday, 11 June
