"Il Video della Settimana": Josep Carreras i Núria Feliu canten junts "Be my love" (El teu amor)

Benvenuti per un nuovo Video della Settimana.

Vorrei cogliere quest'occasione per informarvi o ricordare a voi tutti che Josep Carreras sarà protagonista della prossima puntata del programma "El convidat" (l'invitato), trasmesso da TV3, canale della Televisione Catalana (Televisió de Catalunya) e presentato da Albert Om. Verrà trasmesso domani sera alle ore 22:30 (ora locale): verrà trasmesso in diretta anche online a questo indirizzo.

Vorrei descrivervi brevemente di che tipo di programma si tratta: Albert Om, il presentatore, trascorre un weekend in compagnia di illustri personalità catalane, diventando così "el convidat": che venga ospitato a casa di queste o altrove, Om condivide con loro le stesse attività, ed attraverso conversazioni molto interessanti ci mostra questi personaggi da una prospettiva più intima ed umana, anzi... ci fa vedere le persone che stanno dietro al personaggio.

Domani avremo il piacere di vedere Josep Carreras sotto una luce diversa da quella del palcoscenico, ed io come voi non vedo l'ora.

Chi mi conosce sa quanto la Catalogna sia nel mio cuore e che questo vada anche al di là del mio essere fan di Josep Carreras: questo è il motivo per cui seguo con certa assiduità TV3, e tra i tanti programmi che seguo non mi perdo mai una puntata de El convidat.

Attraverso questo bellissimo programma ho conosciuto tantissime personalità catalane: nella scorsa puntata, per esempio, Albert Om era "el convidat" di Núria Feliu. Per molti di voi non avrà certo bisogno di presentazioni, ma per chi non lo sapesse Núria Feliu è una cantante catalana di grande fama il cui repertorio vanta generi diversi, dal bolero alla canzone popolare, dal jazz al country americano cantato in lingua catalana. Anche lei, autentica ambasciatrice della cultura catalana, anche lei come Josep è molto orgogliosa di essere nata nel quartiere barcellonese di Sants, dove tutt'ora vive. Simbolo di questo orgoglio comune potrebbe essere il loro duetto in "Cançó de Sants", che ricordo di aver già proposto l'anno scorso. Ma in realtà sono diversi i momenti in cui Carreras e la Feliu hanno collaborato: non dimentichiamo che il tenore inizialmente aveva pensato a lei come partner per il duetto di Amigos para siempre, oppure il loro album Més que mai nel 1985.

Ad ogni modo, è stato caricato su youtube di recente un video molto carino: un duetto all'interno di un programma televisivo, sempre catalano, trasmesso negli anni 1983 e 1984 dal titolo "Al caliu de la Feliu". Era un programa musicale nel quale Núria Feliu invitava artisti di diversi generi, e tra i suoi invitati, in un'occasione, c'è stato anche Josep. In questo video, ovviamente in lingua catalana, la Feliu spiega a Carreras che il Maestro Antoni Parera Fons, direttore musicale del programma, l'aveva spinta a proporgli un duetto tra loro due, nel brano Be my love, con testo in catalano e quindi "El teu amor". Tra i due artisti si nota una grande stima ed affetto reciproci, nonché un'ottima complicità in un clima visibilmente disteso e genuino. Tra le altre cose, devo ammettere che la versione catalana del testo mi piace veramente molto. Dunque questo video non poteva essere proposto in un momento più indicato, a cavallo tra due programmi de El convidat consecutivi: il primo in cui la protagonista era Núria, ed il secondo che vedremo domani con protagonista Josep. ◦ I would like to take this opportunity to inform or remind you all that Josep Carreras will be the protagonist in the next episode of  "El convidat" (the guest), broadcast by TV3, the Catalan television channel (Televisio de Catalunya), presented by Albert Om . Will be broadcast tomorrow night at 22:30 (local time), and  will be broadcast live also online here.

I would like to describe you  briefly what kind of program it is. Albert Om, the presenter, spends a weekend in the company of famous people from Catalonai, thus becoming "el convidat", and he is to be hosted in their house or in another place, like in this case. Om shares the same activities with them, and through very interesting  conversations he show us these characters from a more intimate and human point of view, or better, he allows us to see the human being behind the character. Tomorrow we will have the pleasure to see Josep Carreras under a different light from the one of the stage. Like you all, I'm looking forward to it!!

◦ Those who know me perfectly know how much Catalonia is in my heart, and this goes beyond my being a Josep Carreras fan: this is why I regularly follow TV3, and among many programs I follow I never miss an episode of El convidat. Through this program I have learnt of so many wonderful important people: in the last episode, for example, Albert Om was "el convidat" of Núria Feliu. For many of you she will certainly need no introduction, but for those who do not know Núria Feliu is a very famous Catalan singer whose repertoire deals with different genres, from bolero to the popular songs, from jazz to American country sung in Catalan. Like Josep, she is a real ambassador of Catalan culture ,and very proud to be born in Sants district of Barcelona. A symbol of this common pride could be their duet "Cançó de Sants", I already proposed here last year. But actually there are various occasions on which Carreras and Feliu have worked together: do not forget that he had thought of her as a partner for the duet Amigos para Siempre, or their album Més que mai, released in 1985.

◦ However, it has been recently uploaded on youtube a very nice video: a duet part of a catalan television program broadcast in 1983 and 1984 entitled "Al Caliu de la Feliu." It was as a musical program in which Núria Feliu used to invite artists of different genres, and among his guests on one occasion there was also Josep. In this video, of course in Catalan language,  Feliu tells Carreras that Maestro  Antoni Parera Fons, musical director of the program, convinced her to ask him to sing a duet version of the song "Be my love",  or better "El teu amor" with lyrics in Catalan . Between the two artists there have always been a great mutual esteem and affection, and fine complicity in a visibly relaxed and genuine atmosphere. Among other things, I have to admit that I like the Catalan version of the lyrics a lot. So, this video could not be proposed in a more perfect moment, between two consecutive episodes of "El convidat": the first starring Núria, and the second we will see tomorrow starring Josep.
