New Winter Banner 2013 and New Section "Historic Dates" now on the blog

Sono lieta di potervi presentare il Nuovo Banner d'Inverno del 2013, lieta perché la tirannia del tempo non mi ha permesso di farlo per il precedente Banner di Natale 2012. Conservo ancora il post iniziato tra le bozze, ma trattandosi di un banner di breve durata, non avrebbe avuto senso postare la presentazione con settimane di ritardo. Sono spiacente, ma spero di farmi perdonare in quest'occasione.

L'ho presentato come Nuovo Banner d'Inverno perché, come immagino già saprete, il banner si alterna con le stagioni dell'anno, per un totale di 5 banner in 12 mesi. Avrete notato che l'edizione invernale di quest'anno  sembra non reincarnare la stagione corrispondente quanto quelle precedenti, per le quali avevo usato immagini di Barcellona innevata. 

In realtà, la neve a Barcellona non è poi così frequente, e riproporre ancora neve nel banner mi sembrava un po' poco originale, per quanto fossero foto bellissime. Senza contare che, dovendo questo banner costituire l'intestazione del blog fino alla fine di marzo, quando già il bisogno di primavera è pressoché disperato, a lungo andare la neve avrebbe potuto dare noia.

Ho voluto così cambiare un po', proponendo qualcosa di totalmente nuovo per il banner: un'immagine notturna. La foto raffigura una splendida veduta della città di Barcellona, come non potrebbe essere altrimenti: è il panorama che si può ammirare dalle scalinate che portano al Palau Nacional che mostra la caratteristica Font Màgica de Montjuïc, l'Avinguda Maria Cristina fin verso Plaça d'Espanya e tutta la città verso Nord, fino al Tibidabo, dove spicca il Sagrat Cor, che ho pensato di mettere in evidenza inscrivendolo nella C di Carreras.

La notte non necessariamente è sinonimo di inverno, tuttavia ho cercato appositamente di privilegiare i colori freddi e scuri. 

Per quanto riguarda le immagini di Josep, quella di sinistra è parecchio diffusa, ma ho pensato comunque di riproporla perché, a mio modo di vedere, si inseriva bene nello sfondo; quella di destra, invece, è un'immagine recentissima che risale alla metà di dicembre 2012 e raffigura il nostro tenore al suo arrivo a Mosca. In modo diverso l'una dall'altra, trovo che siano due immagini di un certo impatto.

Spero che questo nuovo esperimento vi piaccia. Il banner rimarrà in carica fino al'equinozio di primavera.

Per quanto riguarda lo sfondo, ho momentaneamente usato una delle immagini predefinite di blogger, a causa delle difficoltà derivate dal non sempre corretto funzionamento della piattaforma da qualche mese ormai: L'immagine attuale, questa sì, risulta adeguata alla stagione in cui siamo entrati. Tuttavia potrebbe essere soggetta a cambiamento.

Se la novità del 2012 sono stati i Key facts, concepiti come un breve riassunto del post in Lingua Inglese, diventati irrimediabilmente l'intera traduzione, quella di quest'anno consiste in una nuova sezione del blog: come avviene per quella delle Breaking News per gli annunci delle nuove date, anche questa è un blog nel blog ed è dedicata alle date storiche dei debutti, concerti memorabili ed eventi affini. Trovate il link di Historic Dates qui a destra, sopra quello delle Breaking News, oppure direttamente sotto al banner.

Quando non ritenevo opportuno approfondire con un post vero e proprio, questa attività breve e sintetica si concentrava su Facebook, ma con l'idea un giorno di trovare uno spazio che offrisse a tutti a possibilità di leggere, che non fosse riservato esclusivamente agli utenti di Facebook (cercate Bloc Josep Carreras). È giusto che ogni contenuto che condivido tramite i social network, Facebook e Twitter, abbia origine dal blog, essendo questa la mia attività principale.

Trovo che le visualizzazioni dinamiche di Blogger siano ideali per un format di questo tipo: sono, per l'appunto, dinamiche, e si appoggiano molto sull'immagine, un privilegio di cui un blog più tradizionale non può sempre godere per vari motivi e complicazioni. Questa sezione speciale assume ancor di più le sembianze di un diario, una tipologia appropriata allo scopo. La modalità che ho scelto si chiama magazine (rivista): basterà cliccare sull'immagine del post e vi si aprirà l'intera pagina, con l'immagine di grandi dimensioni ed una didascalia di poche righe disponibile in tre lingue: Inglese, Catalano e Spagnolo. Ma potrebbero anche diventare quattro, qualora decidessi di aggiungere anche l'Italiano. Il contenuto può essere condiviso su altri social network, in questo modo vi si potrà accedere dal blog, come da Facebook e da Twitter. Così non si fanno torti a nessuno!!

◦ I am pleased to introduce to you the New Banner Winter 2013, pleased because the tyranny of time did not allow me to do it with the previous Christmas Banner 2012. I still have the post among drafts, but since it was a banner for a short period, to post the presentation with weeks of delay did not make sense to me. I'm sorry, but I hope you'll forgive me on this occasion.
I still call it New Banner Winter because, as you might already know, the banners change with the seasons of the year, for a total of 5 banners in 12 months. You may have noticed that this year's winter edition seems to represent the corresponding season less than the previous ones, for which I had used pics of Barcelona  with snow. In fact, snow is not that usual in Barcelona, and once again snow in the banner seemed not that original to me, though they were beautiful pictures. Not to mention that, since this banner is going to be the header of the blog until the end of March, when we hopelessly need spring, snow could be annoying for such long period.
So I wanted to change a bit , offering something totally new for our banner: a night pic. It shows a beautiful view of the city of Barcelona: you can admire this view from the stairs that lead to the Palau Nacional which show the famous Montjuic Magic Fountain, Maria Cristina Avenue until  Plaça d 'Espanya, and the whole town towards the North, up to Tibidabo, where stands the Sagrat Cor's Church I wanted to stand out inscribing it in C.
Night is not necessarily synonymous of winter, but I tried to focus especially on cool and dark colours.
◦ As for Josep's pictures, the one on the left is quite famous, but I would like to use it again: according to me, it stands out well on background; as regards the one on the right it is a recent pic dating back to  December 2012, and it shows our tenor at his arrival in Moscow. In a different way from one the other, I I think that they are two photos of immediate impact.
I hope you enjoy this new experiment. The banner will stay on the header until the arrival  of spring.

◦ As for the background, I currently use one of the default images, due to the fact that the platform has not worked properly since last September: The current image is appropriate to winter. However, it might change in the future.
◦ If one of the innovation of 2012 were the Key facts, conceived as a brief summary of the post in English, later turned out to be the whole translation, this year one of the innovations is a new section in the blog: the same as with the Breaking News (recently restyled section), new dates announcement, this is a blog within the blog, dedicated to the historic dates of debuts, memorable concerts and related events. You can find Historic Dates link here on the right sidebar, above the Breaking News, or directly under the banner.
When I didn't analyse it more deeply with a post, this short and concise activity was mainly on Facebook (search Bloc Josep Carreras), but I have always had the idea to move it, one day, to the blog, giving everybody a chance to read it. It can't be an exclusive "privilege" for Facebook users. Any content I share via social networks, Facebook and Twitter, must come from the blog, being this my main activity.
I think that Blogger's dynamic views are perfect for this function: they are, as I said, dynamic, and rely on pictures a lot, a privilege that a more traditional blog can't always have for various reasons and complications. This blog looks like a diary, the best for the purposes of this section. The view I have chosen is called magazine: just click on the photo and the entire post will be opened with a large image and a few lines description available in three languages: English, Catalan and Spanish. But they could also become four, as soon as I decide to add Italian. The content can be shared on other social networks, so you can be accessed from the blog, Facebook and Twitter as well. This way, everyone will be given the same rights!
