"Il Video della Settimana": Josep Carreras i Lluís Llach canten junts "Amor Particular" (Dedicat a la Diada de Sant Jordi)

Benvenuti per un nuovo Video della Settimana.

Oltre al concerto di Pechino, al quale verrà dedicato un post appositamente, questa settimana è stata illuminata da una di quelle ricorrenze annuali che rendono la città di Barcellona ancora più affascinante, la tradizionale Diada de Sant Jordi che si celebra il 23 aprile.

Sono sicura di avervi già parlato di questa giornata meravigliosa che riempie le vie di Barcellona di fiori e libri di ogni sorta, che porta scrittori a firmarli e dedicarlo ad ognuno dei componenti di lunghissime code di persone sorridenti e animate dello spirito gioioso di questa grande festa che va ben oltre un normale giorno di San Valentino. Sant Jordi in Catalogna non è solo per gli innamorati, ma è per tutti i generi di legami affettivi.

A mio parere sono particolarità d'interesse anche per i fans di Josep Carreras e del suo indiscusso amor di patria, e chi come me ama appassionatamente la Catalogna, anche a prescindere dall'essere fans, vive questa giornata, anche a distanza, con grande partecipazione emotiva. Non sono solo parole, sono ricordi tangibili che mi riportano ad un anno fa quando anche io mi trovavo tra quei fiumi di gente, quando anche io avevo ricevuto la mia rosa e avevo regalato libri, quando anche io respiravo quell'aria meravigliosa e mi sentivo parte di essa. È dura non lasciarsi trasportare dai ricordi ed evitare che la nostalgia prenda il sopravvento.

Sarebbe logico, come ho fatto su Facebook, scegliere un brano emblematico come Et portaré una rosa di Josep Maria Andreu e Antoni Parera Fons per celebrare questa grande giornata che spero di rivivere al più presto sulla mia pelle, ma in verità ho pensato a qualcos'altro, qualcosa che forse sprigiona ancora più carica catalana, perché i catalani straordinari che la interpretano in questa versione... sono due. Sono Josep Carreras e Lluís Llach.

Chi ha buona memoria sa che il nome di Lluís Llach non appare qui per la prima volta, ma che in più occasioni gli sono stati dedicati interi post alla luce del fatto che lo apprezzo moltissimo come cantautore, come voce delle cause collettive, come catalano. Per chi non lo sapesse, la sua collaborazione con Josep Carreras ha avuto vita in poche occasioni da quella primissima e straordinaria presso il Palau Sant Jordi di Barcellona quel 29 dicembre del 2002, ma ognuna di questa, vale per Palma de Mallorca come per il Festival de Cap Roig del 2004, "Junts" è stata un'esperienza indimenticabile per chi l'ha vissuta.

Per oggi, tra i tanti capolavori del cantautore di Verges ho scelto uno dei miei preferiti in assoluto, Amor Particular.

Tratta dall'album "T'estimo" del 1984, Amor Particular è una canzone d'amore, è vero, sebbene risulti di non immediata interpretazione. Ha un andamento piuttosto lento, adatto ad un'atmosfera sentimentale, e si percepisce una nota malinconica che emerge soprattutto nella seconda strofa. Il testo allude al bisogno di esprimere gratitudine per tanto tempo vissuto insieme, al sentimento d'amore, di un amore appunto particolare.

Josep Carreras ha inciso questo brano nel suo album Energia del 2004, ma nell'album "Junts" trovate la versione dal vivo insieme a Llach.
Come dicevo, l'occasione per proporre questo brano è la Diada de Sant Jordi, catalanissima, quindi credo ricorrerò a non a uno, ma a due artisti altrettanto catalani, molto differenti ma con diversi punti in comune: come è scritto sulla copertina del disco "dues veus, un sentiment", e questo sentimento è un amore particolare che può adattarsi non ad uno solo ma a diversi contesti, ognuno può scegliere quale fa più al proprio caso. 

Lluís Llach intona le strofe e a Josep Carreras è assegnato il ritornello al termine di ogni strofa: il ricorso ad una voce come la sua risulta dare notevole profondità, ulteriore spessore ad una canzone straordinaria della quale esalta ogni singola emozione portandola all'estremo. Io semplicemente la adoro. Qui avete l'audio, non ci sono video disponibili se non dell'altrettanto celebre Abril '74. Godetevela!!!

Welcome to a new Video of the Week.

Apart from the concert in Beijing, which a post will be specially dedicated to, this week has been lighted up by one of those annual events that make the city of Barcelona even more fascinating, the traditional Diada de Sant Jordi, which is celebrated on 23 April.

I'm sure I've already written about this wonderful day that fills the streets of Barcelona with roses and books of all sorts, that leads writers to sign and dedicate copies of their books to each one of the long queues, people smiling and liven up by the joyful spirit of this great day that goes far beyond a normal St. Valentine. Sant Jordi in Catalonia is not only for lovers, but for all kinds of emotional ties. In my opinion it can surely be of special interest to Josep Carreras' fans, taking into consideration how much he loves his country, and people like me who passionately loves the Catalonia even besides my being a fan, live this day, even from the distance, with intense emotion . These are not just words,  but tangible memories that bring me back to a year ago when I was part of those crowds of people too,when I  received my rose and I gave books as well, when I could breath that air deeply feeling part of it. It's hard not to be overpowered by memories and avoid nostalgia.

It would be logical, as I did on Facebook, pick an emblematic song like Et portaré una rosa (I'll bring you a rose) by Josep Maria Andreu and Antoni Parera Fons to celebrate this great day I hope to experience again as soon as possible, but actually I thought about something else, something that perhaps intensify even more the extraordinary Catalan charge, because Catalans who interpret it in this version ... are two: Josep Carreras and Lluís Llach.

If you remember, the name of Lluís Llach does not appear here for the first time, but on several occasions entire posts have been dedicated to him due to the fact that I appreciate him very much as a songwriter, as voice for collective causes, as  a Catalan. As you might well know, he collaborated with Josep Carreras on a few occasions from the very first concert at the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona on 29 December 2002, but each of these, such as both Palma de Mallorca and Cap Roig, "Junts" was an unforgettable experience for everyone attending it.

Today, among the many masterpieces of the songwriter from Verges I choose one of my very favorite, Amor Particular.

From the album "T'estimo" of 1984, Amor Particular is a love song, it is true, but the lyrics are not of easy explanation Musically, it has a rather slow progress, suitable for sentimental atmosphere, and a melancholy note that emerges especially in the second part. The lyrics refers to the need to express gratitude for so long time lived together, to the feeling of love, a particular love.

Josep Carreras recorded this song on his album Energia released in 2004, but the album "Junts" contains his version with Llach. As I said, the opportunity to propose this song is the Diada de Sant Jordi, very very catalan, so I need not one but two Catalans, very different from each other, but with several points in common: as it is written on the album cover "dues veus, un sentiment" (two voices, one feeling), and this feeling is a particular love that can adapt not to one but to several contexts, everyone can choose which better meets their case.

Lluís Llach  sings the verses and the chorus at the end of each stanza is assigned to Josep Carreras: his contribution gives further depth to an amazing song, and his voice which highlights each emotion taking it to the extreme.
