The Blog Josep Carreras celebrates its 5th anniversary today LIVE from Vienna

Key facts:

I am so glad to announce that today, September 15, 2013, the Blog Josep Carreras achieves 5 years of activity: 5 years of growth, of satisfactions, of unforgettable moments full of intense and authentic emotions honouring with all my heart a sublime artist, a generous and sincere tenor's soul. It is the result of emotions that arise from an artist who feels the need to express them through his talent, that reach someone who can not help but give her gratitude a concrete dimension: virtual, in this case, but absolutely concrete.
It is not easy to describe Josep Carreras' art with words, probably because to find the rightest words to mean what you feel, you must really be good: well, I do not know if I'm good or not, I do not know if I have always managed to write down my feelings in these years... but I know that I have never stopped looking within and letting me be carried away by my enthusiasm my devotion towards him, unchanged since 15 September, 2008 , or even renewed and often reconfirmed.
Perhaps you already know that this blog comes from a proposal I was made: if not for Teresa, author of the Blog Villazonista dedicated to tenor Rolando Villazón, born the same 15 September, I can not tell for sure if I spontaneously was to create a blog; in fact , I was a little surprise and uncertain, but after five years I have realised how the blog has proved to be the ideal and most congenial medium with my need to express my feelings, quite never synthetic , and my pleasure for writing.
For me 5 years of activity are a little big goal that makes me proud and happy , even happier for the opportunity to celebrate it here in Vienna where I am to attend Josep Carreras' matinée, a benefit concert at the Staatsoper in favor of his Foundation which celebrates the twenty-fifth anniversary, along with the 25 years since his recovery from illness, and the legendary recitals, the so-called Vienna Comeback, which took place almost on the same day 25 years ago: it was on September 16, 1988.
During the concert , in which he will be accompanied by soprano Anita Hartig, mezzo-soprano Margarita Gritskova and the bass-baritone Adam Plachetka, with David Giménez conducting the orchestra, Josep Carreras will also receive the Honorary Ring of the Wiener Staatsoper specially designed by Juwelier Wagner. The concert will also be broadcast on a big screen just outside the Staatsoper in Herbert von Karajan Platz to give way to those who don't have a ticket to enjoy this celebration.
I'm really excited because of the coincidence of so many special circumstances: that which concerns the blog is certainly the most modest, but I could not hope to celebrate in a better way!
I sincerely thank all the readers, all those who have supported me with sincere affection, and in particular I thank Josep Carreras for being the soul of this space and for all the wonderful time he has been giving me over the years.
