Josep Carreras and Plácido Domingo together in Moscow to sing a Christmas concert next 19 December

Da tempo leggevo il nome della città di Mosca tra gli appuntamenti che Josep Carreras avrebbe avuto nel mese di dicembre, ma solo ieri sono stata informata di cosa consiste questo evento, ed è qualcosa di realmente straordinario.

Il prossimo 19 Dicembre, Josep Carreras si esibirà insieme a Plácido Domingo in un concerto di Natale a Mosca.

Si tratta del primo concerto che i due cantano insieme dopo la morte di Luciano Pavarotti, quindi il primo dopo l'avventura dei Tre Tenori. Per ricordare Luciano, avevano duettato nel 2008 a Petra nel brano Non ti scordar di me, ma al di là di quest'unico brano, non abbiamo ancora avuto modo di vederli cantare ancora un concerto insieme.

È quindi un vero peccato per noi che un evento così straordinario venga a coincidere con un evento privato: il loro concerto ha finalità benefiche e si celebrerà in occasione dell'inaugurazione del Terminal A dell'Aeroporto Internazionale di Vnukovo.
Per questo motivo non è prevista alcuna vendita di biglietti. Plácido Domingo raggiungerà Carreras a Mosca domani, 16 Dicembre, e le prove della performance si terranno presso la Helikon Opera.

Josep Carreras, dopo lo straordinario record raggiunto dal José Carreras Gala a Lipsia, è atterrato nel medesimo aeroporto ieri sera, che aveva spesso frequentato in passato, e ha notato con sorpresa il risultato della ristrutturazione che lo ha reso di dimensioni paragonabili a quello de El Prat di Barcellona.

◦ For a long time I have been reading the name of the city of Moscow among the activity Josep Carreras had planned in December, but only yesterday I was informed of what this event is, and it's something really extraordinary.

Next Wednesday, December 19, Josep Carreras and  Plácido Domingo will offer together a Christmas concert in Moscow.

This is the first concert they sing together after Luciano Pavarotti's death,  the first since the adventure of the Three Tenors. To honour Luciano's memory they performed in duet with the song titled Non ti scordar di me in Petra in 2008, but beyond this one duet song, we had not had the opportunity yet to see them sing again together a whole concert.

Therefore, it is a real a pity for us that this extraordinary concert will be a private event: it has charitable purposes, and will be held on the occasion of the inauguration of Terminal A in Vnukovo International Airport. For this reason, there is no ticket sales. Plácido Domingo will arrive in Moscow tomorrow, December 16, andthe rehearsals will be held at the Helikon Opera.

◦ Josep Carreras, after the extraordinary record achieved by the José Carreras Gala in Leipzig, last night landed at the same airport, he had already frequented in the past, and was surprised at the result of the renovation that has made it comparable in size to El Prat in Barcelona.

Let's hope also that a similar event will be repeated in the near future, preferably as a public performance, so that everyone is given the opportunity to attend it.
