Josep Carreras to sing opera again with the première of "El juez (Los niños perdidos)" by Christian Kolonovits in Bilbao on 26 April 2014

Finalmente è arrivata la notizia che i fan aspettavano dopo tanti cenni nelle interviste degli ultimi tempi: Josep Carreras sentiva il bisogno di una nuova sfida, per questo il compositore austriaco Christian Kolonovits ha scritto per lui "El juez (Los niños perdidos)", una nuova opera che Carreras interpreterà in prima mondiale il 26 aprile 2014 al Teatro Arriaga di Bilbao. Altre due recite il 29 aprile e il 2 maggio.

La notizia si sta diffondendo in modo esponenziale nelle ultime ore, in seguito alla presentazione della nuova stagione 2013/14 del teatro. Nel sito web del Teatro Arriaga sono  disponibili i dettagli sulla nuova stagione, ma sicuramente i biglietti saranno acquistabili a partire dal 26 giugno online o presso la biglietteria del teatro.

Su musiche di Kolonvits e libretto di Angelika Messner, "El juez (Los niños perdidos)" tratta un tema particolarmente delicato quale il furto di neonati nella Spagna degli anni Cinquanta.
Secondo quanto informa Emilio Sagi, direttore artistico dell'Arriaga e direttore di scena di questa nuova opera, si tratta di una produzione propria del teatro di Bilbao in collaborazione con il Festival austriaco del Tirolo, Tiroler Festspiele ERL: l'Orchestra BIOS sarà diretta dal Maestro David Giménez, e gli altri interpreti saranno Ismael Jordi, Mª José Suárez, Manel Esteve, Ana Ibarra, Milagros Martín. Dopo le rappresentazioni a Bilbao, Carreras porterà "El juez (Los niños perdidos)" anche in altri paesi come Austria, Germania, Giappone e Stati Uniti. 

Con questo nuovo titolo, che sicuramente avrà già suscitato una grande curiosità, Josep Carreras realizzerà  il sogno di fans che speravano un giorno di poterlo riammirare su di un palco operistico, a distanza di 13 anni dalla sua ultima interpretazione di Samson et Dalila di Camille Saint Saëns. È impossibile in questo momento trattenere l'entusiasmo, sono sicura che il pubblico saprà premiare l'amore per la professione del cantante d'opera da parte di un artista che, a 67 anni compiuti, si rimetterà in gioco con una nuova sfida sulla scena operistica.

With this new title, which will surely have already aroused great curiosity in all of us, Josep Carreras will realize the dream of fans who had hoped one day to be able to admire him again singing opera, 13 years after his last performance of Samson et Dalila by Camille Saint Saëns.
